Die lang lys van ANC ministers wat geskors word, of van hul pligte verlos word, gewoonlik nog op volle salaris, het groot debat ontlok. Minister van Gesondheid, Zweli Mkhize, is een van die mees onlangse ministers wat geskors is nadat hy in Junie op “spesiale verlof” geplaas is, hangende ‘n ondersoek na ‘n kontrak tussen die departement van gesondheid, en diensverskaffer Digital Vibes, met wie hy persoonlike vriende was, wat na bewering verdag is.

Mkhize het ontken dat hy persoonlik voordeel getrek uit die kontrak, en homself distansieer van individue wat by die skandaal betrokke was, maar die Sunday Times het die afgelope naweek berig dat hy na bewering R6,720 ontvang het en dat hy na bewering die bestuurswet op die voorkoming en bestryding van korrupte aktiwiteite en openbare finansies oortree het.

Vrystaatse Boere Betaal Self R 6 Miljoen om Paaie te Onderhou! Is Dubbele Belasting die Voorland van Blankes?

Vrystaatse boere het volgens ʼn opname van Vrystaat Landbou (VL) die afgelope jaar reeds meer as R6 miljoen bestee om herstelwerk aan provinsiale en munisipale paaie te doen.

Volgens die President van Vrystaat Landbou, Francois Wilken, belemmer die algemene gebrek aan onderhoud van die provinsie se padinfrastruktuur, toeganklikheid vir arbeid en die aflewering van produkte. Dit veroorsaak ook talle ongelukke wat die situasie lewensgevaarlik maak op Vrystaatse paaie.

“Vanweë die gebrekkige regeringsvermoë en traagheid om paaie te herstel word boere toenemend gedwing om dit self te doen Die R6 miljoen-syfer is minder as die werklike koste wat aangegaan is. Daar is baie werk aan paaie deur boere gedoen wat waarskynlik nie eens gerapporteer is nie,” sê Wilken.

SA taxpayers to fund over R76 million for politicians who did not return to parliament after this year’s national election

Government will spend over R76 million of taxpayer’s money on ‘loss-of-office gratuities’ for politicians who did not return to parliament after this year’s national election.

The Sunday Times reports that this figure is set to continue rising in the coming weeks as payments are still being processed.

The gratuities will be paid to former ministers and MPs who completed at least a five-year term in office, with four months’ of pensionable salary being paid out for every five years of service completed.

This means that former ministers like Jeff Radebe and Derek Hanekom stand to earn at least R4.8 million each.

According to the paper, earning this package does not preclude politicians from accepting other public sector positions, or returning to parliament at a later date.

DA MP John Steenhuisen said that the packages were originally instituted to help MPs, but has since turned into an unnecessary and expensive benefit.Continue reading…

ANC regime wants to merged certain ministries after 25 years of mismanagement and reduce the number of provinces

Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of our failed rainbow nation, wants to merge several ministries after 25 years of mismanagement and reduce the number of provinces.

The number of ministers will be reduced from 34 to 25 with only 15 deputy ministers.

The number of provinces should be reduced to six. Currently, there are 35 ministers and 37 deputy ministers in the ANC Cabinet.

Economists believe it will make no contribution to getting the country out of its economic dilemma, and consider it “too small for a big problem”.
