The iHeartRadio Music Festival returns to Las Vegas Sept. 21 and 22, with the first acts for its Saturday Daytime Stage announced on Monday. Headlining will be Dua Lipa, 5 Seconds of Summer, Lil Uzi Vert, Dustin Lynch, Bazzi, Belly, Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots, and Greta Van Fleet. The main stage performance lineup for the 2018 event will be announced in the coming months.
The main event takes place at T-Mobile Arena, while the Daytime Stage is hosted at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. In addition to live performances, the latter will feature fan zones and interactive experiences from iHeartRadio’s brand partners. They include 1800 Tequila, Bai Beverage, Bioré Skincare, Capital One, The CW Network, Macy’s and Taco Bell. Tickets for the Daytime Stage go on sale Thursday, May 3.
The “Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star” talent search will return for the seventh year, providing emerging artists the chance to perform onstage. Starting in early May, iHeartRadio listeners and Macy’s shoppers will be able to cast votes for favorite up-and-coming artists. Those fans will also be entered for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas for the Festival. The Rising Star winner will take the stage as the opening act of the two-night event.
The iHeartRadio Music Festival will broadcast live on iHeart CHR stations nationwide, and will be featured as an exclusive national television broadcast special on The CW Network at a later date.
Since the launch of the first iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2011, performers include the likes of U2, Sting, Drake, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Jay Z, Ed Sheeran, Kings of Leon, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Zac Brown Band and twenty one pilots.
