It appears that the ANC president Ramaphosa’s campaign managers have spent more than R70m to update membership fees and register new members.
Members apparently became frustrated with the ANC and refused to pay their membership fees. However, the trend has already been going on since Zuma’s time as figures show that Natal’s membership has grown from 192,000 to 331,000 in 2012.
Under the rule of Ace Magashule and David Mabuza, numbers increased from 41,000 to 121,000 in the Free State, while the Eastern Transvaal saw a growth of 46,000 to 132,000.
The question asked by political analysts is how many ghost votes are registered to manipulate elections.
