What has our world come to and what does it say about the mentality of the people involved and moreover what does the rest of South Africa think about this type of mentality? Thinking it’s normal to watch your friends murder someone while you film it?
At what point does your conscious kick in and you ask yourself “what if that were me, and someone just stood by and filmed all this”?
This comes in light of the recent video that went viral of a man being killed and bystanders filming it, instead of intervening.
Thoriso Themane, a 28-year-old man was found injured in Flora Park, Polokwane on Sunday, 24 February 2019. It’s believed he was transported to the hospital but was certified dead on arrival.
A video of Themane’s body being dragged through the street has gone viral on social media leaving users shocked and angered by the manner in which people have seemingly taken the law into their own hands.
