ConCourt Declares UNISA Language Policy Unconstitutional in 5 Year Long Court Case!

It is tragic that the courts have to protect the true diversity of South Africa, with a dozen languages, from the ANC regime, and it remains unfortunate that the ANC government preaches diversity, yet applies monolingualism. This ruling is appropriate on the eve of Heritage Day, in that it recognized the language rights of students, and imposes a specific obligation with regard to execution on Unisa. It is equally unfortunate that language and cultural communities have to turn to the courts in the final instance, to claim their rights as diverse languages with specific reference to Afrikaans, especially at historically Afrikaans universities.

Twee derdes van Suid Afrikaners glo dat korrupsie die afgelope jaar toegeneem het, en helfte (49%) glo dat dit “baie toegeneem het.” Verder blyk dit uit ‘n opname dat mense nie net dink dat korrupsie erger geword het nie onder Ramaphosa, maar herken ook ‘n groot deel van die verkose amptenare en staatsamptenare, wat kamma korrupsie sou beveg, betrokke in korrupte aktiwiteite is.
Persepsies van sistemiese korrupsie in Suid Afrika oorheers al twee dekades lank in openbare debatte sedert ANC ‘n werkende eerstewêreldse staat gegee is. In sy vele vorme ondermyn korrupsie die doeltreffendheid van die staat, verswak die kwaliteit van openbare dienste en vernietig uiteindelik die openbare vertroue. Over the weekend the Lone Wolves Vaal Motorcycle Club embarked on a project together with Boere Gemeenskap Transvaal and ICC Church Kenmare to hand over a total of 140 food parcels to poor white families who gathered at General de la Rey Primary School in Florida. Each food parcel contained enough canned food, flour and other items to feed a family of five.
According to Leon Cronje, director of the organization Boere Gemeenskap Transvaal, most of the needy people who were helped on the day were single mothers with children from the surrounding communities of Newlands, Montclare, Claremont Vrededorp.

Die afgelope naweek het die Lone Wolves Vaal Motorfietsklub tesame met Boere Gemeenskap Transvaal en ICC Church Kenmare ‘n projek aangepak om ‘n totaal van 140 kospakkies te oorhandig aan arm blanke gesinne wat by die Laerskool Generaal de la Rey in Florida byeengekom het. Elke kospakkie bevat genoeg blikkieskos, meel en ander items om ‘n gesin van vyf te voed.
Volgens Leon Cronje, direkteur van die organisasie Boere Gemeenskap Transvaal, was die meeste behoeftige mense wat op die dag gehelp is, enkelma’s met kinders uit die omliggende gemeenskappe van Newlands, Montclare, Claremont Vrededorp.

Die Portefeuljekomitee vir Justisie en Korrektiewe Dienste in die SA parlement het openbare kommentaar gevra op die opgedateerde wetsontwerp op die voorkoming van haatspraak en haatmisdaad, wat bedoel is om behoorlike straf op genoemde misdade op te lê. Die nuwe definisie van “haatmisdaad” is wanneer iemand ‘n ander persoon seermaak met opmerkings of beledigende opmerkings. Seermaak word gedefinieer as enige emosionele, sielkundige, fisiese, sosiale of ekonomiese skade. Volgens die nuwe wetsontwerp is dit dus ‘n misdaad om BSEB te bevorder en te adverteer.
