“Make False Allegations of Racism, and be Dismissed” – Eskom Chairman, Malegapuru Makgoba

The Chairman of the embattled ANC parastatal Eskom, Malegapuru Makgoba, issued a stern warning to employees who falsely accused their colleagues of racism, and encouraged Eskom staff to think about how these accusations could affect someone’s reputation, and said those who are unsure about what they are complaining about, should rather remain silent.

Makgoba’s comments come during the announcement of Eskom’s annual financial results for the 2020/2021 financial year earlier this week.

Die Voorsitter van Eskom, Malegapuru Makgoba, het ‘n streng waarskuwing gerig aan werknemers wat hul kollegas valslik van rassisme beskuldig, en het Eskom personeel aangemoedig om na te dink oor hoe hierdie beskuldigings iemand se reputasie kan beïnvloed, en dat diegene wat onseker is oor waaroor hulle kla, eerder moet stilbly.

Makgoba se kommentaar kom tydens die bekendmaking van Eskom se jaarlikse finansiële resultate vir die boekjaar 2020/2021 vroeër vandeesweek.

Andre de Ruyter, uitvoerende hoof van Eskom, het ongegronde aantygings van rassisme oorleef het, het nou regstappe teen sy eie direksie aangewend, in sy stryd om Eskom skoon te maak en ontslae te raak van die stelselmatige korrupsie wat dit geteister het sedert die ANC in 1994 oorgeneem het.

Andre de Ruyter veg in die hof om ‘n massiewe korrupte tender te skrap met ‘n BBBEE-maatskappy genaamd Econ Oil, ‘n kontrak wat deur al sewe lede van die huidige Eskom-raad, waaronder die huidige voorsitter Malegapuru Makgoba, goedgekeur is.

Eskom CEO De Ruyter Goes to Court to Annul R 8 Billion Corrupt BBBEE Tender Approved by Current Board!

Having survived wrongful allegations of racism, Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter has now resorted to legal action against his own board, in his fight to clean up Eskom and rid it of the systemic corruption that has plagued it ever since ANC took over in 1994.

Andre de Ruyter is fighting in court to scrap a massive corrupt tender with a BBBEE company called Econ Oil, a contract which was approved by all seven members of the current Eskom board, including current chairman Malegapuru Makgoba.

The new tender was issued to Econ Oil in October 2019 for the supply of oil to Eskom and De Ruyter only became Eskom CEO in January 2020. However all seven members of the current board, including the chairman, Prof Makgoba, were already board members by then and approved the deal with Econ Oil. The Board members were Malegapuru Makgoba (Chairman), Calib Cassim (Chief Financial Officer), Pulane Molokwane, Banothile Makhubela, Rod Crompton, Busisiwe Mavuso and Tshepo Mongalo.

‘n Onafhanklike ondersoek na die aantygings van rassisme deur André de Ruyter, uitvoerende hoof van Eskom, het geen bewyse gevind dat hy hom op ‘n manier gedra het wat neerkom op rassisme nie.

Dit is die bevindings wat na die ondersoek onder advokaat Ishmael Semenya deur die Eskom-raad vasgestel is, nadat ‘n senior werknemer aan die direksievoorsitter Malegapuru Makgoba en Cyril Ramaphosa geskryf het, en beweer dat De Ruyter se gedrag rassisties was. Solly Tshitangano, die destydse verkrygingshoof van Eskom, het beweer dat De Ruyter wit aanstellings bevoordeel en maatskappye in wit besit anders behandel as swartes.

Eskom Sinks To Lowest Output Ever, With Dim Outlook, Despite Two New White Managers Tasked With Reversing Mind Numbing Corruption From 25 Years of ANC Plunder & Misrule!

Eskom has reached a historic low in terms of output during the last month. This slow rot and decay is then also the historic achievement, or lowpoint of the ANC, with its implementation of mind numbing and all pervasive corruption, crony tender practices and their Africanization or black quota recruitment policies and cadre deployment program.

In other words their implementation of #TheAfricanWay has finally led to more than a third of Eskom’s installed generating capacity being out of order in January 2020. Only 61,5% of its generating units are able to produce power at the moment. Chris Yelland, an energy expert, told Netwerk24 that this is the worst performance level for Eskom ever.

Yelland called Eskom’s current performance a historic low. A shocking 28,41 % of total Eskom capacity was not available in the past month due to Eskom’s power units breaking down. Units breaking down can only be attributed to a lack of maintenance over a long period of time. Eskom

Solidarity: Eskom is in crisis due to years of looting, mismanagement and race obsession; asking taxpayers to fund R1.8 billion in performance bonuses is wrong

Eskom is in crisis and should be treated as a crisis. The company is hopelessly bankrupt and operationally fragile due to years of looting, mismanagement and race obsession. The new CEO, André de Ruyter, has to be given comprehensive powers similar to that of a business rescue practitioner. If Eskom is not treated as if it is in business rescue, it is going to explode on itself and South Africa.

Asking in court documents that taxpayers should finance R1,8 billion in performance bonuses does not fall within a framework of crisis thinking. We did not have access to the documents, but if they ask for R1.8bn worth of performance bonuses to be financed, it is wrong. Eskom’s bonus policy states that bonuses will only be paid out if the company makes a profit. The policy is also applied in this way. Our members have not received bonuses for the past two years. New Eskom CEO faces huge challenges, first task is to unbundle the state entity

Andre de Ruyter started his duties as Chief Executive Officer of Eskom six days earlier by visiting each of the power plants individually to familiarize himself with the circumstances of each of them.

The new Eskom boss has an enormous task upon his hands, with the first task assigned to him, to unbundle Eskom into various entities. This will be executed amid unions that are strongly opposing to the unbundling due to for fear of unemployment.

There is an uncertainty about what his assignment looks like in terms of the recovery process to remove Eskom from the financial foes, but experts say it will require more than one man’s skills to correct the mess that has been made over 25 years.

In recent weeks, Eskom has constantly threatened that load shedding will be implemented if consumers are no longer frugal with power consumption, while Ramaphosa has promised that load shedding will not resume before mid-January.
