Down The Corruption Rabbit Hole: In yet another shocker for members of the Government Employee’s Pension Fund, it has been revealed that The Public Investment Commissioner (PIC) has “invested” in land, on their behalf, for R570,525 per hectare in Coligny, where the average price per hectare is less than R20,000! The Ex SA Ambassador to Italy, Tembi Tambo (pictured), daughter of Oliver Tambo, is a representative of @Isago, the controversial company benefiting from this and other highly questionable transactions.

New mayor of Johannesburg hails from the ANC after coalition between DA and EFF failed

The fragile coalition between the DA and EFF failed in Johannesburg, since the two parties could not put their differences aside. This put the ANC in a favorable position to win the majority of votes. Controversial candidate, Geoff Makhubo is now appointed as the new mayor of the City of Gold.

The balance of power has undergone significant changes in the city council, and the ANC gained control of the city council because the DA and the Red berets could not stand each other. Both political parties has set their sights on the mayor’s office, however not one of them will have the opportunity to govern the metro now.

The ANC candidate Geoff Makhubo drew 137 votes, the DA’s Funzela Ngobeni received 101 while the Red Brigade had to be satisfied with 30 votes.

Observers poinedt out that some of the DA councilors voted for the ANC candidate, thereby showing how divided the political party is.

City Council of Pretoria will replace 13,000 prepaid power meters in the next 4 months after it has been found that PEU Capital Partners’ meters are not valid

The city council of Pretoria wants to replace 13,000 controversial electric meters, and for that they apparently have only four months to do.

The 13,000 prepaid meters have to be replaced by a court decision since the council has entered into an invalid contract and the so called meter is also believed to be illegal devices.

Many workers now have to move through certain areas’ as well as building buildings to find out if the meters in the buildings are legal, as the PEU Capital Partners meters are not valid.

This means that the multi-billion daily payments made by the city to PEU in terms of the contract which are considered unfordable, will also come to an end.

There is uncertainty that is responsible for the cost of replacing the meters, and whether it is the innocent consumer who has to pay for it.

ANC-controlled city council of Vredendal wants to borrow R10 million from Standerd Bank – ANC ruling party is sinking deeper and deeper into debt!

The ANC-controlled City Council of Matzikama (Vredendal and the surrounding area) will request approval at a Council meeting for taking an external loan at Standard Bank of R10 million.

The loan is in part financing of its 2018/19 capital budget. No further information is known about the term, repayment amount, interest as well as how the funds will be generated to service the nearly R100,000 per month payment.

Municipalities and government institutions were previously warned not to enter into loans to repay other debts or capital projects that cannot be repaid.
