Ramaphosa is surprised and shocked. But in 2 years of his presidency not one single person has been charged in connection with the hundreds of billions of Rands looted from places like Eskom under Zupta rule and before that under the ANC. The ANC is the most brilliant thieving organization in the world but the most useless when it comes to governing.

The extent to which Cricket South Africa (CSA) was captured by a small group of people has been exposed in increasingly glaring detail over the past 10 days. This situation can be traced back to the start of current chief executive Thabang Moroe’s tenure in late 2017.

Hundreds of pages of court documents, emails and reports in Daily Maverick’s possession, as well as interviews with seven key figures paint a picture of the leadership of an organisation that was increasingly authoritarian.

Below are some of the problems Moroe, president Chris Nenzani and the CSA board have created or failed to adequately address. Reflected also are areas where there has been a failure to fulfil their duties in the best interests of cricket.

Yes, without a doubt the c-ANC-er broke Eskom, like they broke everything else. And they are making money from it too.

It is known that the ANC’s investment arm called Chancellor House made a 5000 % profit on its investment in Hitachi South Africa which had the tender for the boilers of Medupi and Kusile power stations. It was also reported in the media that Hitachi did a shoddy job with the welding of the boilers, which will shorten the life expectancy of the entire Medupi and Kusile. Chancellor House is also a shareholder of Pfisterer, a Pietermaritzburg based company supplying equipment to Eskom.

Today Eskom is producing less electricity than in 2007, costing more per unit price and using a bigger workforce than ever before, earning bigger salaries and bonuses.

ANC government focused on looting and not maintenance of infrastructure- over a period of 25 years they repeatedly showed that they are was unable to manage or govern

The ANC government’s focus so far has been mainly on the looting of the fiscus and not on the maintenance of the country’s infrastructure and other state assets.

Proper infrastructure is the lifeblood of the economy and ensures that residents have access to roads, bridges, schools, water and many other services. Without proper infrastructure maintenance, no country can survive economically. No international investor will come to invest money in South Africa while infrastructure is not being renovated and maintained

In South Africa, the onus is on the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure to do this maintenance. Not only is the department the custodian and manager of the state’s real estate assets, but also the creator and maintainer of South Africa’s infrastructure

Police officers spent R5.3m on fake EFF and Fees Must Fall investigations

A pair of top officers are believed to have paid money from a crime intelligence slush fund to ‘informants’ which didn’t exist. A report in the Sunday Independent accuses top police officers of looting crime intelligence funds to the tune of R5.3 million.

The publication says an internal report shows that these officials embarked on supposed investigations into the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and Fees Must Fall movement leadership, but spent the money meant for these investigations on luxury hotels.

They also allegedly paid various amounts to non-existent “informants”.

According to the report, Major-General Deena Moodley and Colonel Preadhashni Govender spent a night at the Drakensburg Sun Resort in December, 2016, under the pretext that they were “attending a meeting by EFF members planning a rally” due to “conspiracy to commit arson by EFF Student Command”, changing theirs stories to say they were investigating a plot to poison former p

Rising anti-mass immigration violence in Gauteng calls on political leaders to ask for military assistance to bring violence under-control – They speak out against attacks on foreigners but remain silent on farm murders

Gauteng political leaders are considering calling on the military to stop vandalism and looting in the province.

According to Gauteng Prime Minister David Makhura, criminal elements are responsible for looting shops and have been warned that the military may be called in to address the problem.

This follows after Ramaphosa requested police to bring the gunmen under control. He spoke out against attacks on foreigners but remained silent, among other things, on the farm murders.

The looters have already plundered, or burned down, many stores of foreigners in Pretoria and Johannesburg, and even children have stolen the stores without anyone being prosecuted.

Cyril remains silent as SA burns to the ground

While the unrest in the Western Cape has forced the government to deploy the unarmed soldiers of the Defense Force in the hope that the violence will stop, it is Gauteng who is leaving the area in chaos with just as much force.

The gang violence in the Western Cape has already claimed the lives of many people in recent weeks, and now the north of SA also has a violent crowd that burns shops and houses at a faster rate than the ANC can erect new buildings.

More than 20 foreign-owned stores went up in flames, but not before the looters and their children stole the usable goods.

With all this, and much more violence elsewhere, the ANC’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, is silent and frightens Africa so much that they are now boycotting the World Meeting in Cape Town.

Ramaphosa doesn’t say a single word about it either.

SAPS medical scheme – R15.7 million of POLMED’s funds ‘looted’ by board of trustees

Millions of rand in alleged “unlawful looting” of the SAPS’s medical scheme POLMED have drawn the ire of scores of police officers, who have slammed the level of coverage received.

Claims are that POLMED, which covers 680,000 members and beneficiaries, has “unlawfully” awarded roughly R15.7 million to its BOT (board of trustees) over three years in alleged contravention of its own rules.

Allegations are also that former National Police Commissioner General, Riah Phiyega, was “illegally” elected on to the BOT in contravention of Rule 18.9.9, which states: “Any person removed from an office of trust on account of misconduct should not serve on it.”

According to rule 18.24, Polmed remuneration should be determined by the scheme’s AGM (annual general meeting) and not by the CMS (Council of Medical Schemes).

By Polmed’s own admission, the scheme hasn’t held an AGM since 2015, with questions being raised
