Planned content for sex education in state-run schools is nothing but “soft porn”

New curriculum that forms part of the Life Orientation course, which is expected to be implemented from Grade 4 to Grade 12 in 2020, involves pupils identifying their genitals in class, commenting on bare pictures used in sex-texting messages, and learning what involves vaginal, oral and anal sex. Minister of Education, Angie Motshekga, has apparently already also approved much of this content.

The content was recently made available to members of parliament and published on the group Freedom of Religion South Africa (FOR). According to this, gr.4 learners will during group discussions, identify their own and their classmates’ sexual parts . Gr. 5’s will learn about homosexual molestation and sexual assault and grade 6s will be asked what they think of photos of naked people sent in Whatsapp messages. Leftish DA is falling apart, even the leader has left his flock – Wondering what the future holds for the party

The leftist DA who has just received his leader’s resignation is likely to be further harassed by Maimane, who did not hesitate to accuse the party of being an “ordinary member”.

Maimane said the DA was “not a party for everyone” and thus opened the door to forfeit his position as a member of parliament.

Maimane led the party for four years, and his statement that the party “is not the vehicle best built to build his vision for SA” gives the impression that he will leave the DA at a better time and establish his own party.

Gordhan mocked by EFF as “dog of the white monopoly”

The ANC’s minister, Pravin Gordhan, has been ridiculed as a “dog of the white monopoly” and now the two EFF members, Malema and Shivambu are in a lawsuit started by the minister.

The two members of the EFF must defend themselves in the Equality Court where they face the onslaught of Gordhan’s legal representatives.

The battle between Gordhan and the EFF leaders followed after Malema supported the minister at a time when the unpopular Jacob Zuma was still on the scene, and the EFF’s slogan “Zuma must fall” was heard in parliament.

With Ramaphosa taking Gordhan back into the cabinet, the EFF leaders’ dissatisfaction was re-displayed when the minister was labeled a dog of the white monopoly, but which now led to a bitter fight in court.

Irregular expenditure by ANC-parastatale entities increases to R61,3bn – only a stupid foreign investor will invest in SA

Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu warned the government that further bailouts to state entities would increase the budget deficit and lead to credit downgrades. The state advanced R446 billion in the 2018/19 financial year to eleven state-owned entities. Irregular expenditure increased from R51 billion to R61.3 billion.

A financial expert said in response to the alarming spending spree, it would be just a stupid foreign investor reacting to Ramaphosa’s attempts to attract investors to South Africa.

The ANC president was in London two weeks ago to recruit new investors, but informed sources indicate that although promises have been received, it will be again as before and no one will actually commit.

Russia’s bombers and other military aircrafts landed at Waterkloof air base while Ramaphosa leads the African delegation to Russia for talks with the government

Russia landed the world’s biggest military aircraft in SA on Wednesday — the Tupolev Tu-160 “Blackjack” bomber, in a rare display of co-operation between the defence forces of the two countries. The two bombers, which are capable of launching nuclear missiles, are the first to ever land in Africa and were escorted by fighter jets from the SA Air Force as they arrived at the Waterkloof air base in Tshwane.

The bombers arrived at about 4pm and a number of other Russian military aircraft will also land at the site. The bombers had initially been scheduled to land earlier.

“The military-to-military relations between the two countries are not solely built on struggle politics but rather on fostering mutually beneficial partnerships based on common interests,” the SA National Defence Force said in a statement. Russia’s defence ministry put out a similar statement.

Another one bites the dust! Steenhuisen no longer DA chief whip after Maimane’s resignation

John Steenhuisen has told Eyewitness News he is no longer the chief whip of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Parliament.
He said his term was linked to Mmusi Maimane’s: “The chief whip is appointed by the leader. Since he announced his resignation from Parliament, my term ends.”

Man arrested for selling different types of fake academic qualifications certificates during an intelligence driven operation. On the day of his arrest he had just sold a Human Resource Management Diploma for R800.

Edmond Ekechukwu (44) was denied bail by the Piet Retief Magistrate’s Court last Thursday for fraud and Corruption following his arrest by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit on Wednesday.

Ekechukwu was It was also discovered that he runs an internet café where was arrested and had his hard drive, and the Department of Social Development’s official stamp as well other electronic equipment confiscated.

The case against Okechukwu has been postponed to October 24 for verification of his immigration status in the country.

Apparently NSFAS’ students are spending their cash-for-textbooks allowance on food, booze and clothes since no books where bought

The academic book industry is flailing after the introduction of a new policy that gives students cash, not vouchers.

The cash-for-textbooks allowance introduced by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) in January has cost the book industry more than half a billion rand, putting hundreds of jobs at risk.

This is according to data collated by the Alliance for Academic Success, which represents the academic book supply industry, including the SA Booksellers Association and the Publishers Association of SA.

“Since NSFAS moved from a voucher to a cash system in January, sales at academic booksellers have dropped by R540m, compared with the previous year, the group said.

Previously, the R5,000 book allowance was ring-fenced and could only be spent on learning materials.

Now, the allowances are being paid directly to students’ bank accounts as cash, “which many students are not spending on academic materials as intended”.

In two incoherent resignation speeches in 2 days that rocked the party Herman Mashaba first resigned as a DA member and Johannesburg mayor and then DA leader Mmusi Maimane left many people baffled on Wednesday as he thrashed the DA as against transformation and deeming it as ” not the vehicle best suited to take forward the vision of building One South Africa for All ” -but still opting to remain a member of the party that he now so clearly disagrees with and is so unhappy in.

He baffled the mind also by deciding to still remain the Parliamentary leader of the party until the end of the year. That leaves one wondering why Maimane would still want to be part of a party that he had been thrashing for a while now .

ANC wants to amend 1998 Marriage Act to eliminate discrimination

The Marriage Act and other related laws may change which will apparently eliminate discrimination in marriage.

The ANC’s Minister Motsoaledi has already begun discussions with the various generations and human rights activists.

The law should provide for equality, non-discrimination, and human rights, so that marriage law is in line with the country’s Constitution.

With the ANC’s efforts to promote women’s rights, they wanted to show the Western world that the country is at the forefront of modern trends, but so far all those efforts have made little impression on foreign institutions.
