ANC Takes R9 Billion From PRASA to Pay for e-Tolls! With No Brakes, Cellphones, Radios, Guards, SAPS or Money, The PRASA Train Has Derailed & Crashed Yet ANC Vultures Continue To Plunder it!

While Vodacom has cancelled its contract with PRASA for the provision of cellphones, which train drivers used to communicate with control rooms, it has also been revealed that ANC took R9 Billion from PRASA to pay for SANRAL e-tolls, according to Steve Harris from UNTU, which is a union within Prasa. Train drivers use these cellphones to get the verbal go-ahead to use routes to prevent accidents, because they can’t use the radio base system because that is not working either!

Drivers now have to use their own cellphones, which is against PRASA rules (and probably against their insurance too). Harris says that the lives of train drivers are in danger when they can’t get authority to use routes and have to wait at crossings, because commuters who are angry about late trains have attacked train drivers in the past. He says criminals also prey on waiting commuters whilst they wait for late trains. Violence is #TheAfricanWay and the solution to everything it seems!

Shosholoza train that was delayed for 9 hours left many passengers red under the collar – just another public service that does not provide service

A man who drove all the way from Velddrif to the West Coast to fetch his children and grandchildren at the Cape Town station is furious after the train only arrived there more than nine hours later.

James Swart says his children were on the Shosholoza Meyl, which was delayed about nine hours due to various technical problems.

They allegedly boarded the train at Klerksdorp on Sunday at 15:00. When he arrived in Cape Town at about 7.30 pm on Tuesday, there was no sign of the train. The train first arrived at the station at 4 am.

Swart’s children say the train apparently stood at Beaufort West Station for almost two hours and then another couple of hours at Lion Gamka.

“This meant that the train was almost nine hours late. No one informs the passengers or their family, who will pick them up at the station, ”Swart told Netwerk24.

During this time, he and his children lost contact due to a poor cellphone signal.

SA’s train transport system leaves much to be desired with constant reports of accidents, derailments and delays – Train derailed in Vereeniging area causes chaos

Chaos broke lose when a train in Vereeniging derailed and had to use trains from other routes to avoid delays.

Metro Rail’s train service in Vereeniging was so badly interupted that the trains that had to leave later were advised to use alternative routes,

No injuries were reported, but the cause of the accident is still unknown, although there are allegations that untrained personnel, and negligent mistakes made, are responsible for the derailment.

Later it was confirmed that no trains could enter the Vereeniging station, and the trains that had to leave Vereeniging could not move either.

Five trains were scheduled to depart from Vereeniging to Germiston, which resulted in hundreds of workers not arriving at their jobs on time.

Only in SA and probably a World First! – Prasa Train worth R50 Million was stolen in Umkomaas on Natal South Coast

A train belonging to the Passenger Rail Agency, a division of Transnet, was stolen from the Umkomaas railway depot and driven to Ilfracombe Station.

The two thieves whom stole an empty commuter train from a depot , took it on a 12km joy ride from eMkhomazi to Umgababa on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, leaving security guards shocked and embarrassed. The incident, left Prasa red-faced and investigating how the two men tricked the guards.

The two suspects allegedly drove the train all the way to Umgababa, and when it stopped they jumped out and fled into a nearby forest while being pursued by security guards.

According to an employee, who asked not to be named, the train only stopped when it lost momentum in an uphill area.
Another Prasa employee, working on the railway line at the time of the incident, expressed her shock.

In a social media post, the employee said she believed those behind the train theft were whoonga addicts.
