SA Has 4th Most Daily New Covid19 Cases Globally for 3rd Straight Day! But Where are the Bodies? Mojo or Fraud?

South Africa has once again reported the 4th most daily new Covid19 infections worldwide, for the 3rd straight day in a row, confirming what Ramaphosa said, that the storm is on us. But where are the bodies? We hear anecdotal stories of hospitals running out of ventilators and ICU beds, hear of Indian nurses trying to leave the country, and of graveyards running out of space, but with all the extra Covid-19 deaths, and South Africa’s third world socialist infrastructure, you would expect to see bodies in the streets? We have had more infections than Italy, which has the same population as SA, and they literally had coffins stacked up outdoors.

Two officials from the Department of Justice, Free State arrested for fraud

Officials from the Department of Justice and Constitutional Affairs appeared in the Zastron Magistrate’s Court, Free State on charges of fraud.

A former manager in the courts, one Desmond Mokhobo, 32, and his colleague, Mxolisi Kakalatsa, 38, who served as an administrative clerk, is charged with fraud amounting to about R380,000.

The two men were arrested last week by the Corruption Unit, which investigated the alleged fraud at the department from 2018 to July 2019.

Allegations are being made that the two accused will be prosecuted for their share in the theft of fines, bail, court fines, all of which had to be handled by the Department.

A second charge of money laundering and other offences was also presented to the court, which both received an R2,000 bail, and was ordered to return to court on January 8, 2020.

Unemployment Insurance Fund pays more than R63,000 to registered unemployed ‘ghosts’ so one man can benefit from it

A former Department of Labor employee has been jailed by the Witbank Regional Court for 15 incidents of fraud he was convicted of.

The 42-year-old Thokozani Percy Skosana was employed by the Department of Unemployment Insurance Fund’s division, and since 2012 has made several payments to “ghosts” and was able to start the payments with a “business enterprise” where transport and general dealer services are provided. be.

His company ensured that ghosts were also registered as unemployed, and thus realized a reasonable monthly income.

The ghost story hauled more than R63,000 from the Department of Labor, which apparently cannot be recovered due to the man’s financial position.

Playing the race card when all else fail – Zuma: I’m being victimised because I’m black

Former President Jacob Zuma faces charges of fraud, corruption and racketeering linked to the arms deal. But now he claims that he is being victimised because he is black.

Zuma addressed his supporters on Tuesday following a brief appearance in the Pietermaritzburg High Court.

He indicated his intention to challenge a court decision denying his application for a permanent stay of prosecution.

The former president faces charges of fraud, corruption and racketeering linked to the arms deal.

He allegedly received 783 unlawful payments between 1996 and 2005.

But he believed he was being targeted because of the colour of his skin.

“As a black person, you will face victimisation until you die, you will also encounter traitors.”

Zuma is expected to formally lodge his appeal documents by 1 November while the court is expected to hear the matter on 22 November.

Top police officers linked to fraud amounting to a whopping R5 million

According to news reports, top police officers are accused of “stealing” crime intelligence funds and the amount involved in excess of R5 million.

Funds earmarked to investigate the EFF and FeesMustFall cases were used for luxury accommodation in hotels and payments were made to fictitious informants.

The names of Major General Deena Moodley and Colonel Preadhashni are mentioned which may be involved in the fraud.
