Eskom says the Medupi power station’s Phase 2 stage is in operation, making it part of the power supply’s overall electricity output.

The announcement comes 12 years after the first donation was made to set up Medupi, but during that time, South Africa paid much more for the erection than initially budgeted.

In addition to building the power plant more than 200% more expensive, the cost of more than R150bn has shown that South Africa is not only irresponsible in managing its spending, but is also equally irresponsible in appointing those who had to do the erection.

Economists say the construction of Medupi and Kusile power plants eventually totaled R234 billion, but informed sources indicate that much more money is needed to bring the two power plants to full capacity.

The cost of the two exchanges further increased South Africa’s enormous debt burden, and analysts reckon it will take at least 40 years before Eskom’s two exchanges will be paid, but by that

President Cyril wants to squander R25bn of taxpayers’ money on projects in Northern Transvaal

“From now on, every model will be seriously monitored, and those who show up with corruption plans will be asked to leave,” was ANC President Ramaphosa’s warning during the kick-off opportunity of his R25 billion project.

Ramaphosa undertook to visit the Northern Transvaal for two days to attend the two separate projects kick-off events.

The two projects being undertaken are of paramount importance and can have a significant impact on many people in the area’s lives if managed properly.

The projects have apparently attracted the interest of various institutions that have bought in, and are apparently part of a so-called multi-billion Rand development model of the district.

Waterberg District is believed to be leading the mining towns and agricultural divisions involving factories, and the program is expected to reduce the unemployment rate currently being experienced.

Newborn baby died because ambulance service from Kimberley Hospital takes six hours to arrive

A newborn baby from Kimberley died because the ambulance apparently took six hours to reach her home, which is only 15 minutes from the hospital.

Desiree Abrahams, 32, of Beaconsfield began contracting Saturday morning at 8am and immediately called the ambulance service of Kimberley Hospital.

Jamie Gatyene, Abraham’s girlfriend and neighbor, was with her in the bedroom with other family members to assist her.

Six people each called the ambulance.

She called the ambulance several times, and each time the response was that an ambulance was on its way.

When she called at 11am, Abrahams was told to lie on her side to prevent the contractions from worsening.

“In the meantime, her water broke and we kept calling the ambulance.”

According to Gatyene, the child “came out”, but she is uncertain if the baby was stillborn and whether she was still alive after childbirth.

Abrahams apparently felt the baby move inside her until shortly before birth.

ANC-regime hunting Vicki Momberg because of her 2016 racial slur, while killers run free – 58 killings a day, not mentioning rapes and hijackings

So Vicki Momberg has become our number one criminal because she ducked and didn’t appear in court due to her case of crimen injuria of her 2016 racial slur.

Now she has an arrest warrant hanging over her head, after her non-appearance at the Randburg magistrate’s court, and the police say they “are desperate to locate her”.

According to the police, detectives are working around the clock and crime intelligence is on full alert and involved to establish her whereabouts.

If this were not so pathetic it would have been laughable.

We have 58 killings a day, not mentioning rapes and hijackings, and criminals are running loose left right and centre, while the Zondo commission has established who the other criminals are that looted billions out of this country and no action has been taken, but we have the whole police force on alert and going after this miserable woman.

State’s salary bill milking state coffers dry, yet Jan Van Riebeeck and whites are regularly chosen as scapegoats for ANC regime failures

The state’s salary bill is consuming money that the country needs to keep going, with regular increases while unions are demanding larger portions. Yet the private sector and white people of the country are regularly scapegoated for the country’s problems.

Everyone knows this and the government recognizes it and makes promises to act. Yet nothing good happens. The government’s salary bill currently accounts for 34% of the national budget. This means that R340 out of every R1 000 spent by the government goes towards salaries.

Salaries more than tripled from R154 billion to R518 billion in the period 2006/07 to 2018/19. Government officials earning more than R1 million a year increased from 9,600 to 29,000 during the same period.

Yet, the private sector is regularly lauded as the biggest scapegoat for the ANC’s failures. The private sector is the largest job creator in South Africa, despite huge barriers created largely by the state.

Firearms amnesty: SAPS biggest distributor of illegal firearms and ammunition

Just like a pencil cannot make spelling mistakes of its own accord, a firearm cannot kill of its own accord. In addition, recent parliamentary questions that the FF Plus addressed to the Minister of Police seem to reveal that the police service is to blame for the majority of the illegal firearms and ammunition in the country.

With that in mind, the following question should be asked: What is the purpose of the proposed amnesty period for handing in firearms? According to the government, the purpose is to confiscate illegal firearms so as to combat crime in South Africa.

However, in response to a parliamentary question that the FF Plus posed the Minister a few months ago, he said that approximately 10 million rounds of ammunition were either stolen from or lost by the police service itself over the last six financial years. The police service also lost 4 357 firearms in the same period of time.

Medupi with erection costs of R234 billion is still not functioning optimally due to poor construction and inexperienced workers

President Cyril Ramaphosa makes an official visit to the Medupi power plant in the Northern Transvaal, which, after years of construction, still does not function properly.

The ANC president apparently wants to do “inspection” at the poorly constructed power plant that fails to supply its supposed capacity.

The visit comes as the whole of Eskom is struggling because of a debt burden of R450bn that, according to economic experts, will not be completed within the next 25 years, regardless of who runs the place and how it will be unbundled.

The construction of the Medupi coal-fired power station has been criticized not only by environmentalists, but also by experts for the poor construction erected by inexperienced workers.

The power station has hit South Africa’s debt burden with a total erection cost of R234 billion, while not built well enough to deliver its full capacity.

ANC regime blows millions of rands on students to study medicine in Cuba – Costs amount to more than double the amount it would cost in SA

Allegations are being made that the ANC Free State paid more than R330,000 per student to study in Cuba to become a doctor.

This is more than double the amount it would have cost in South Africa, and the biggest problem is that the students did not graduate.

It takes six years to graduate as a doctor in Cuba, plus one year to be taken as a language course beforehand to master Spanish.

Initially, 211 students were sent to Cuba, 33 of whom soon returned to SA, but soon after, one perished in a street of the capital.

The training of doctors in Cuba differs from the training offered in South Africa, and experts warn that the doctors are not necessarily suitable for the service expected of doctors.

Political chaos reigns in Gauteng over mayor’s office – DA and EFF in battle, IFP might walk away in victory

A political confusion is playing out in Johannesburg and Pretoria with the far left DA still trying to control the city council in both cities.

Eventually, they can become the biggest losers because of their hand around the neck politics with the radicals in the Red Brigade.

In Johannesburg, there is currently a battle going on between the DA and the Red Brigade over the mayor’s office, which now poses the possibility that the IFP will triumph in this sage while the other two are fighting.

Doubt also exists about the DA and its Red partner’s unity in Pretoria while the first sounds are heard of the Reds claiming the mayor’s office because Zille is now back in the DA.

The possibility of a motion of no confidence in the DA could also sink the ship, says political observers in Pretoria.

Head of SASSA under investigation after being accused of abusing his power for financial gain

Accusations are made that Themba Matlou, who heads the Social Security Agency (Sassa) in the Central Transvaal, used his office to campaign for a provincial position in the ANC.

Allegations are also being made that he used the state’s resources and finances for the campaign, and the Public Protector will now investigate the allegations.

He is also accused of abusing his power as chief officer by harming people who disagree with his views.

It is not known who filed the complaint with the Public Protector’s office on November 5, but the OB office apparently wrote a letter to obtain further information on the charges.

The complainant claims that Themba Matlou also approved that transport and hotel accommodation be paid for one of his “loved ones”.
