Pay back the money Zuma! – Nkandla in VBS liquidators’ vision – cough up R7m or lose Nkandla

The ANC’s Jacob Zuma is in a big financial crisis with his multi-million Rand loan he received from bankrupt VBS Mutual Bank and now has to pay back the money.

Along with that, there are the million Rand court costs to be paid while more court cases are being filed in an effort to be cleared of the debt.

The amount of more than R7 million borrowed from VBS can be claimed any day, and then Nkandla can be compromised.

Although the Nkandla complex was but controversially erected with the largest share of the cost financed from the state coffers, it is doubted how much the real value of the property is being erected in a strange rural area.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Zuma is also still a full year in arrears with the payment of his loan.

Zuma found guilty to a charge of defamation and must pay R500,000 to former minister Derek Hanekom

Jacob Zuma, the ANC’s former president, who was busy with corruption during his reign, was found guilty in court of naming his former minister, Derek Hanekom.

Zuma allegedly said on the social network that Hanekom was an old spy of the enemy, which led to a court case in which Hanekom claimed R500,000 against Zuma.

The court ruled that Zuma should remove the offended comment on the social network, and he must properly apologize to Hanekom for his false accusation.

His legal representatives filed an appeal on Friday in an effort to set aside the Natal Supreme Court’s finding.

Judge Dhaya Pillay ordered Zuma to apologize to Derek Hanekom within 24 hours and remove the entry on the social network earlier, and is also responsible for the court costs.

Zuma’s lawyers say he did not portray Hanekom as a spy, but only as an agent of the enemy.

Zuma testifies to Zondo commission and says he is a victim of international organizations that have targeted him for years and made him appear to be corrupt

The announcement that Jacob Zuma testified before the Zondo commission gave him a round of applause, but intellectuals believe that the man is going to “duck and dive” without making any significant confession.

Although there were seats for about 200 people and special arrangements were made to accommodate the former ANC president, over 5,000 supporters arrived to gather outside the meeting room.

The Commission is concentrating on Zuma’s alleged involvement in the Gupta affair as well as in State capture, but the former president made no significant remarks or acknowledgments.

Zuma yesterday told the Zondo Commission of Inquiry that he is the victim of international organizations that have targeted him for years and made him appear to be corrupt.

It is not known how long Zuma will be interviewed and observers believe there will be little right to prosecute him.

Former President Zuma and the three monkeys – hear nothing, see nothing and say nothing!

The statues of the three monkeys materialized as the Zondo commission dragged on. The one monkey closes his ears, the other his eyes and the other his mouth. Now Zuma comes and says, “I can’t remember, I can’t say anything, I wasn’t there”

This is Jacob Zuma’s answer to his questions. He now attempts to be the great martyr on whom everyone wants to put the blame on and even told the commission he had receive death threats.

He seeks to divert attention from his involvement in the State Capture process through all kinds of accusations against people and institutions who apparently discredit him and want to get rid of him.

Political analysts warn that Zuma’s attack on the ANC’s leadership could spark a storm in the party. Meanwhile, the money baron Johann Rupert dismissed Zuma as a pathological liar.

WATCH | Zuma mocks his critics on Twitter ahead of state capture appearance singing “Zuma must fall, Zuma must Fall!”

A video clip of former president Jacob Zuma dancing and mocking his critics was posted on social networking site Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

Dressed in a black suit and white shirt, a laughing Zuma is seen dancing while singing: “Zuma must fall! Zuma must fall!”

The tweet was posted around lunchtime on Sunday, the day before his much-anticipated appearance before the state capture inquiry chaired by Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.

Reaction to the video clip ranged from people saying he was smoking dope to others saying he would always remain their leader, no matter what.

President in absentia: More than 30! That’s how many times Zuma failed to answer questions at state capture inquiry

How many times did former president Jacob Zuma respond to questions at the state capture inquiry with “I don’t know”, “I don’t remember” or “I’m not sure”? We counted. During his testimony from Monday to Wednesday last week, he denied knowing the answers to 36 questions.

Last week, the former president dominated news headlines when he appeared before deputy chief justice Raymond Zondo at the commission in Johannesburg. He was expected to, among other things, respond to allegations levelled against him by nine witnesses, including former public enterprises minister Barbara Hogan and former GCIS CEO Themba Maseko.

He quickly earned himself the name “president in absentia” for not being able to answer questions put to him by evidence leader Paul Pretorius and Judge Zondo.

The ANC’s R80 million failure – 13 ‘unused’ Prasa trains, manufactured by the Spanish company under the hammer, because it’s too big for SA rail specifications

Thirteen locomotives ordered by Prasa from Spanish manufacturer Vossloh Espana will be auctioned to the highest bidder in early September without any of the locomotives being used by Prasa.

Already in 2015, the locomotives were found to be too large for South African rail specifications. More than R80 million has been channeled to Maria Gomes, an Angolan businesswoman, who has connections with Jacob Zuma and George Sabelo, the lawyer who has Zuma and his family as friends.

Strange that the new locomotives have traveled as much as 10,000 km, yet purchased as new.

Judge EJ Francis strongly condemned the agreement between Swiambo and Prasa’s top management as corrupt. The outstanding debt and possible recovery of funds seems to be slim.

Nyanda and Trevor Manual Drop Bombshells – Guptas Wielded Significant Influence in the Appointment and Dismissal of Ministers

Siphiwe Nyanda, former cabinet minister told the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture today that he met with the Gupta brothers in the presence of former president Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane Zuma. They introduced themselves and their company, Sahara Computers and indicated a desire to have a private meeting with him.

Under his portfolio as communications minister, Nyanda had oversight over the SABC, Icasa, Films and Publications Board and Brand SA, among others. The Guptas are suspected to have wielded significant influence in the appointment and dismissal of ministers who could further their business interests.

Nyanda’s meeting with the Guptas fell through because he was fired by Zuma during one of the former president’s cabinet reshuffles.
