Is There a Spate of Hijackings in Three Rivers? SAPS says No, Social Media says Yes! Who do we believe?

There is reportedly a spate of hijackings in Three Rivers, but police apparently know of nothing. Social media, on the other hand, is buzzing about a group of men who are believed to be waging a reign of terror in Drie Riviere, and trying to hijack people. However, police say they have no knowledge of this. Who should people believe now?

The police spokesperson in Vereeniging, Capt. Fikile Funda, told Vaalweekblad on Tuesday afternoon that he can only comment on incidents that have been reported to the police and are being investigated by the police. According to him, there has not been a single car hijacking or any attempted car hijacking in the area in the past two days, so he could not comment on this matter.

Daar is glo ‘n vlaag van kapings in Drie Riviere, maar die polisie weet van niks. Sosiale media aan die ander kant is aan die gons oor ‘n groep mans wat glo ’n skrikbewind in Drie Riviere voer, en mense probeer kaap. Die polisie sê egter hulle dra geen kennis hiervan nie. Wie moet mense nou glo?

Die polisie se woordvoerder in Vereeniging, kapt. Fikile Funda, het Dinsdagmiddag aan Vaalweekblad gesê dat hy kan slegs kommentaar lewer oor voorvalle wat wel by die polisie aangemeld, is en deur die polisie ondersoek word. Volgens hom was daar die afgelope twee dae nie ’n enkele motorkaping of enige pogings tot motorkapings in die omgewing aangemeld nie, so hy kon dus nie kommentaar lewer oor hierdie aangeleentheid nie.

Civilisation is simply not possible.

Everything has been taken from us in the so called rainbow South Africa, we have nothing  that is dear to us left. The Free State is a perfect example of what Trump meant with the term sh*thole, with plundered into bankruptcy municipalities, like Mangat-in, MaLOOTi-a-Poefie and Meteens-soos-myholo being perfect examples of where South Africa as a whole is headed.

The National Council of Provinces, which is yet another useless trough eating quango (created purely to extract salaries, fees and expenses), is going to visit the Malooti-a-Poefie municipality in the Free State. The municipality is responsible for the MISmanagement and looting of the Harrismith, Kestell and QuaQua areas. Only the ruins of a once proud Bloemfontein, once called Die Rosestad, have remained, and the metro administration is now in a position where it simply can’t manage itself anymore. It is the first metro in the country that has totally collapsed. So says Professor Andre Duvenhage, currently a political analyst at the North West University, who stayed 17 years in Bloemfontein.

Duvenhage says he is shocked over the decay of the once proud institution, once reckoned among the best in the country. Duvenhage says the whole local government system in the Free State has collapsed and what can be seen in Bloemfontein, can be seen anywhere in the Free State. He says Bloemfontein is hopelessly bankrupt and the lawyers of debt collectors regularly close Bloemfontein’s Nedbank account to lay its hands on some money as soon as a little comes in.
