Nuus.net het verlede week berig oor die stand van riool in Emfuleni op die Wesrand, wat gepaard gaan met die gebrek van dienslewering van munisipaliteite, en gebrek aan instandhouding. Dit is nou nie meer net ‘n ongerief nie, maar raak onveilig en ongesond, en in DA beheerde Tableview in die Kaap ontwrig dit normale lewe. Dit blyk asof raadslede nie weet wat ecoli is nie?

Nog ‘n Vanderbijlpark-inwoner het riool in sy erf agv swak of nie bestaande munisipale instandhouding, en beleef ‘n nagmerrie-ondervinding met riool besoedeling in hul erf.

Civilization is Too Technical & Complicated for ANC as Residents Are Charged for Air in Water Pipes!

Socialist Elitism in South Africa has finally achieved its aim of charging people for air, literally! Residents of Vanderbijlpark & Emfuleni are paying exorbitant bills for air coming through the water pipes, instead of water. All this because the minority are excluded from managing their own affairs, utilities and resources, so they are at the mercy of the incompetence, standards and values of the parasitic ANC and its self serving cadres & supporters.

Residents of Vanderbijlpark can expect huge water bills at the end of the month, even though in many cases water does not even come out of the pipes because there are frequent water outages in the area, and parts of the town are currently without water.

Peter Verbeek, the DA councilor for the SW5 and SW6 area in Vanderbijlpark, who is currently experiencing water interruptions, told Netwerk24 that it is actually air that enters the water pipes, that makes the water bills so high.

High Ranking Black Police Officers Drinking At Funeral Party Assault White Neighbourhood Watch Member Filming Them Disobeying Lockdown Regulations!

#AbuseOfPower In yet another example of police officers disobeying lockdown regulations and abusing their power, high ranking police officers whose illegal activity was filmed by a neighbourhood watch member at a popular pub, Chillas in Vanderbijlpark, assaulted the cameraman and deleted the footage! This nationwide abuse of power and petty vindictive interpretation of the law in many cases, by the police has many wondering if the lockdown regulations are turning SA into a corrupt Police State.

Mr Wayne Scholtz (53), a Neighborhood watch member from Vanderbijlpark, was assaulted on Wednesday in front of a popular pub in Vanderbijlpark when he stopped to take a cellphone video of a group of men, including police officers, standing outside the well known pub drinking beer. Another black school up in flames reducing the number of schools for black learners

Another school was burned down by the country’s “barbarians” reducing the number of schools meant for blacks.

The school, located in the Vanderbijlpark location, is an elementary school that suddenly leaves a large number of pupils without a classroom.

Although the authorities have ordered an investigation into the incident, it is the work of vandals who decided to burn down the school just a day before the first day of the term.

The Tokelo Secondary School in Evaton, started burning in the early hours of the morning, and no trace of the culprits was found.

The fire reportedly caused a loss of more than R4m and repairs are only expected to begin after the investigation has been completed.

SA steel consumption is at its lowest levels in a decade – ArcelorMittal previously known as Iscor may close some of its South African plants

In a statement on Wednesday, ArcelorMittal South Africa [JSE: ACL] – the biggest steel producer on the continent – announced that it may close some of its operations.

The company, which supplies more than 60% of the steel used in South Africa, has operations in Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging, Saldanha and Newcastle.

South African steel consumption is at its lowest levels in a decade – currently 30% lower than in 2007 – which has hit ArcelorMittal. In the six months to end-June, its revenue declined by 5% due to lower sales volumes. It suffered a headline loss of R638m, with net debt growing to R1.7bn from R500m six months earlier.

The company said in a statement that it is currently reviewing the “operational and financial sustainability of certain of its major operating sites, individual plants and production areas”. This will exclude its commercial coke operations, and won’t impact its planned acquisition of the Highveld Structural Mill.

The African way! Illegal striking employees of Emfuleni Local Municipality wreaks havoc in dispute over salaries and awards

The Emfuleni Local Municipality says its employees, working in various departments and office buildings in Vanderbijlpark, were violently chased away from their work-stations by fellow striking employees, or general workers, today.

Emfuleni said this disrupted the provision of services and inconvenienced residents and non-striking workers. ELM said the general workers have been on an illegal strike since the beginning this month in a dispute over salaries and awards.

Following a meeting between management and representatives of the striking workers yesterday, the Municipal Manager (MM), Dithabe Nkoane, pleaded with protesting workers to urgently return to their work stations and warned that the “no work, no pay” principle will be applied. Upon receiving a report on the matter, the ELM Mayoral Committee yesterday resolved that the award should be taken for review. This follows MTN withdrawing sponsorship from the ‘Afrikaans is Groot’ festival due to the singer’s inclusion in the line-up.

Emerald Resort and Casino in Vanderbijlpark has announced that it has decided to cancel the upcoming “Afrikaans in die Vaal” concert featuring controversial singer-songwriter and activist Steve Hofmeyr, alongside Afrikaans singer Refentse.

The casino said it made the decision to cancel ” based on advice and discussions with concerned parties”, adding that full refunds would be given.

This follows the decision of cellular giant MTN to pull out as sponsors of the upcoming Afrikaans is Groot festival due to its inclusion of Hofmeyr on the line-up.
