ANC wants to speed up expropriation process during Christmas holiday season

The process to amend section 25 of the Constitution in order to fast-track expropriation without compensation suddenly gathered speed on Tuesday when a draft bill to amend the Constitution was tabled by the parliamentary legal services.

The Constitution Eighteenth Amendment Bill was tabled at a sitting of the ad hoc committee tasked with amending the Constitution.

This first bite at the wording of the constitutional amendment states that when the state and the land owner cannot agree on the price to be paid, a country may – where land and any improvements thereon are expropriated for the purposes of land reform – determine that the amount of compensation is nil.

Parliamentary legal services furthermore proposed inclusion of a section which requires national legislation to set out specific circumstances where a court may determine that the amount of compensation is nil.

Huge water crisis looming in Greater Pretoria area – several black residential areas, including squatter camps in the area can be left without water

The Pretoria municipality calls on residents to use water sparingly to avoid an enormous crisis.

The city’s storage tanks reached dangerously low levels due to high demand during the heat wave, which lasted several days.

According to the government’s Twitter message, which only reaches about 60% of residents, residents are urged not to waste water.

Some areas are already experiencing water supply disruptions, but the municipality is failing to communicate effectively with all residents, nor does it have a sound plan of action to penalize offenders who use water poorly without appropriate measures.

The water level of the Garsfontein storage tank, which is the largest and situated in the central distribution point, has dropped drastically due to high demand.

The Garsfontein storage tank struggles to maintain the 45% level, and was below the 40% level as demand at the Koedoesnek and Elarduspark tanks continued to surge.

The perils of being white in South Africa – The slaughter continues but it is being ignored by the world

At the end of September an article was published on South Africa Today with factual information about murders on the white community in the month of September 2019 in South Africa. The title of the article was “Slaughter in September. Ignored by the world”.

It was published in the belief that the white minority in South Africa faces a continuing slow war and genocide against them. Genocide is defined as ” the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular nation or ethnic group.” This would of course be by another race or ethnic group. In South Africa we do have that situation but it has been spread out over decades now, with mainstream media playing it down. It’s clear there is a problem, that is why hundreds of thousands of whites have left these shores to other countries all over the world. It is especially the children of the white community fleeing in droves now. Why would this be, if there is no slow genocide?

Be vigilant! Criminals won’t be taking holidays – Farm attacks, murders, rapes, home invasions will still be taking place and you can be the next statistic

This is a call to awareness for all South Africans. The Holidays are here, it is time to rest and have a break. But Oorgrens Veiligheid wishes to remind you to remain vigilant. Even when you’re going in holiday or camping in the bush. The enemy sadly is not going on holiday.

Do you feel his foul breath in your neck? Not? Feel again! Far too often we read that during farm attacks people were tied up and could only call for help well after the attack and that the farm murder victims couldn’t or didn’t make alarm in time.

And we read too little that farm attacks were averted or that attackers have been arrested.

What will your story be? If You’re staying, truth is, according to statistics you have a certain percent chance of being attacked. And someone will write your story.

Ask yourself today. Do you have enough lines of defense in place to buy yourself some, even 10 or 15 minutes before your Attackers get to you? And what shall the quickest response

Brutal farm attack in Hartbeespoort, man tied up, severely beaten, ear cut off

A brutal farm attack took place on 3 December 2019, in Hartbeespoort, North West province. A male victim was attacked in his home and badly assaulted and tied up. Whilst being tied up on the floor the attackers continued the assault by kicking and beating him. They then cut off his ear. The man was only found about 5 hours after the attack.

He was found lying in his own blood in a critical condition. The attackers fled with firearms and some money and household items. Two firearms were later found at fence of the property. There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating, there have been no arrests.

Holidaymakers will now have to pay more for that long-awaited holiday due to rise in fuel prices

The holiday has already begun for many, and will have to pay more for petrol and less for diesel from Wednesday.

Petrol increases by R0-11 per liter for 93 as well as for 95 degrees, but diesel decreases in price by R0-18 and paraffin decreases by Ro-21 for December month.

Economic experts say the rise in gasoline prices, and the slight drop in diesel and paraffin prices, could be attributed to the weak Rand, which just failed to return to its levels two years ago.

The City of Pretoria literally experienced a black Friday after two cash trucks were robbed

In Pretoria’s western area, at the Kit Kat Plaza, a cash van was robbed and at least one security officer was wounded in the incident.

The armed robbers did not hesitate to pull the trigger and took off with an unknown amount.

A police spokesman says one suspect fled in an ambulance,

On the same day, a second money van was pulled down by three armed villains about 50 kilometers north of Pretoria, on the N1 near Hammanskraal.

The wagon was forced by another vehicle to stop by driving into it, after which the gunmen acted.

The incidents were later described by a reader as still being a Black Friday event, because a lot of money was carried away by a small number of armed thieves.

Several people expressed the opinion that the two robberies were probably carried out by the same team of thieves, and that they had inside information.

ANC’s failed Medupi not only poorly erected, but also poses great dangers to man, animal and environment due to toxic gases released

The Madupi power plant approved by the ANC regime to be erected is not only an economic disaster, but also poses the danger of harming human lives.

The power plant is not only poorly erected but took years to be finalized and still cannot deliver its full capacity.

Madupi was constructed differently from the conventional power plants, and is described as the “new dry-cooled” coal power station.

When the power station is complete and at full capacity, it will be the world’s largest “dry-cooled” power station.

Economists and environmental experts have already warned that doing 2020 off the country’s biggest coal power plant could lead to serious financial as well as climate disasters still seen in SA.

Experts say Madupi will become one of the country’s biggest dangers to people and the environment with its poisonous gases being emitted, and will also be the largest entity in terms of air and environmental pollution that will endanger thousands of peopl

Motor giant Ford must fork out millions of Rands after Kuga model endangered human lives

The case, which has been pending against the Ford company since 2017, has now come to a final conclusion and it has been decided that the motor giant will have to fork out millions of Rands, according to a court finding.

The Ford company, which initially denied that its Kuga model contained serious and dangerous flaws, eventually had to admit that the vehicle imposes danger to human life.

The Ford Kuga 1.6 EcoBoost model that caught fire and caused one person’s death is considered by car owners as a sufficient reason to close the manufacturer’s doors in South Africa because no amount can compensate for the loss of one’s life.

Ford must pay R35m in fines in terms of the final outcome.

All owners whose cars have failed, must receive R50,000 in compensation, which in the experts’ opinion is a very unfair decision, as some owners have suffered far more than R60,000.

Zuma in the last trench – application for appeal rejected

After the Pretoria High Court rejected former ANC President Jacob Zuma’s application for appeal with costs, he is now on his way to the Appeal Court.

It is Zuma’s last trench he uses to stay out of jail, and although it is a method of escaping his final trial, the debt burden on court costs is only increasing.

Experts point out that his chances of winning the Appeal Court are extremely slim, and that it will have far-reaching consequences for the man if he fails again.

Political analysts, however, believe that Zuma is playing his cards well, and that with the possibility of a failure in the Appeal Case, he has already incinerated himself by spending a week in hospital, to be “sick again” after the court’s ruling ” to become.

After all, opinion makers say this is the successful method that the long-lived Schabir Shaik used several years ago to open the prison doors for his release so he can play golf again.
