The Ad Hoc Group for the Protection of Property Rights has taken note of ANC Secretary-General Jessie Duarte’s remarks on Monday, on Expropriation without Compensation at a media conference. During the interview, she elaborated on the ideological fiction that expropriation without compensation (EWC) is at the heart of economic development.
This position flies directly in the face of a finding by the Institute of Race Relations that expropriation threatens “the property rights of all South Africans: from the 9.5 million people with homeownership to the approximately 18 million with customary law plots and the estimated 17 million who are members of pension funds. It would also harm all business owners, large and small. At the same time, the economic consequences of the Bill would further harm the 11 million individuals who are currently unemployed, by reducing investment, limiting growth and hampering post-lockdown recovery.”

Few people realize that communists hate farmers with a passion, all over the world, and they will use any excuse to get farmers land into state ownership, so that they can use food to control and blackmail citizens. In SA they use the “Land Theft” lie, in the Netherlands, the left-wing Dutch government is using the alleged nitrogen crisis to get rid of many farmers, as evidenced by two policy packages drawn up by the Dutch Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) for the government, which were published this week. The expropriation of the farms, something that is explicitly mentioned in the plans, means that they will be forced by the state to sell their own farms at a fixed price.
Outgoing Minister Carola Schouten (Agriculture) calculated two scenarios for what the possibilities are, in which the livestock can be reduced by 30 percent. The government has already set aside billions of taxpayers’ money to implement one of its two draconian plans.

Mpumalanga Agri, who took note with great sadness of the tragic death of two peace-loving people, on a farm near Nelspruit on Saturday evening 24 April, strongly condemned the latest attack and murder of farm dwellers. In a statement, Mpumalanga Agri questioned the controversial remarks of Mpumalanga MEC for community safety, Mr. Vusi Shongwe, regarding the incident on 9 April at Pampoen-kraal, Dirkiesdorp, which could possibly have contributed to the motivation regarding the barbaric and bloody murder of the defenseless mother, Annemarie Botha (64) and her son Ruan.
Mpumalanga Agriculture expressed its deepest condolences to the relatives of the deceased who were allegedly killed during a robbery on the farm “Valley Farm.” According to reports, the victims of the bloody attack and murder were Annemarie Botha (64) a mother and her mentally handicapped son Ruan, in his early thirties. A case of murder and robbery has apparently already been opened by SA police.

The ANC’s purely communist system of communal farming by so called Community Property Associations (CPA’s), is a total failure and that admission is clear from answers provided to written questions by members of Parliament. The answers were tabled in Parliament on Thursday and Friday by Thoko Didiza, the minister for Agriculture. According to Didiza, there are 1,612 CPA’s but 1,370 of them are dysfunctional and don’t adhere to legal requirements and responsibilities. The CPA’s together with the Ingonyama Trust owns 3, 8 million hectares of farming land, that is the size of half of Mpumalanga.

Northern Cape farmers forced to knees with worst drought crisis in 70 years

The years-long drought in parts of the Northern Cape has made it the worst crisis the province has experienced in the last 70 years.
Livestock donations and even cash donations are regularly received from organizations and individual donors, but the crisis is far from being far too small.
Estimates made indicate that at least R750m is needed to save the farmers from total ruin.
Many farmers have reduced their livestock to core numbers with which they intend to rebuild a herd when the rain comes, but it will take years to put the total number of livestock back on each farm.
Donors are requested to liaise with organized agriculture as the government is quite reluctant to alleviate the need.
