Natasha Mazzone, DA-LP, het ‘n beroep op die ANC se SA Polisiediens gedoen om hul ondersoek na klagtes wat die party teen Julius Malema, leier van die EFF, en sy adjunk, Floyd Shivambu, aanhangig gemaak het, te bespoedig.

Dit volg nadat Shivambu se broer, Brian, ‘n skulderkenning van R4,55 miljoen met VBS Mutual Bank-gekoppelde Vele Investments onderteken het; terwyl hy erken het dat daar “geen onderliggende basis vir die betaling” was nie. Brian se prokureurs het aangedring op ‘n vertroulikheidsklousule tydens die ondertekening van die erkenning.

Die Raad vir Bevordering van die SA Grondwet (CASAC) wil hê Malema moet as kommissaris by die RDK verwyder word, oor wat volgens hom aanvalle op die regbank is en weens sy optrede tydens onderhoude.

“Ons beskou die veldtog deur CASAC om die president van die EFF uit die Regterlike Dienskommissie te verwyder as ‘n rassistiese poging om die invloed van die Indiese kabaal op die regbank voort te sit,” het Malema Donderdag op ‘n mediakonferensie beweer, met die aantyging dat, “In wese veg CASAC daarvoor dat [die minister van openbare ondernemings] Pravin Gordhan se vriend, wat deur ‘n oop en deursigtige proses van die RDK verwerp is, weer op die regbank ingestel word.”

Parents of kids at Brackenfell High defended their kids and clashed with EFF members who were “demonstrating” for a second time at the school today as the racebaiting by EFF continues.

Due to protesting at Brackenfell High school, the roads that were closed were Rogland St and Paradys St, Rogland St and Verwey St, Goede Hoop Ave and Michelle Cres and Sonnet Cres and Goede Hoop Ave.

Although the horrific incident ultimately put the farm murders higher on the media and ANC government’s agenda, it also forced us, as a people, to focus on our current situation. It also raised issues that need to be addressed about where we are at present and what the future holds for us, as whites in South Africa. For this forced focus, we will be forever grateful to Brendin Horner, who paid the highest price.
